About Coach

I was born and raised in Phoenix. After high school, I joined the Army for 5 years, after a 15-month deployment to Iraq my wife and I wanted to move back to Arizona. I found CrossFit Prescott Valley and joined 30 minutes after googling CrossFit. The community and people were amazing and great, so great I knew I wanted to be part of it.

Turning Point

I’m normally a very active, positive person. But years ago I found myself liking the couch and potato chips better than sunlight and being active. I had gotten complacent and lazy. One day I realized I would get tired taking my kids on a walk. I needed to do something, so I did. Now I’m not the strongest or fasted dad at the park and I still have a dad bod. But I’m happy, healthy, and always trying to improve.

Motivation & Passion

I always enjoy working out, from PE in grade school to weight training in High School. During my time in the Army, I found functional fitness (no idea what CrossFit was at this time). We call it PT, physical training. After returning home and becoming a civilian again I went back to a normal gym, but it didn’t satisfy my fitness needs. I had heard about CrossFit but didn’t know what it was, I googled it and checked out my local Box (CFPV). It was exactly what Iv been missing. I loved the workouts and community.
